​Interview with Karen Lopez-Olmedo

In this 10-minute interview, Ms. Lopez-Olmedo describes her exciting work to bring poetry into Mexican agricultural classrooms, all under the auspices of Pennsylvania State University's Global Teach Ag Network (GTAN).

Interview with Dr. Lis McLoughlin of NatureCulture

In this 22-minute 2022 video interview, NatureCulture's Dr. Lis McLoughlin describes her groundbreaking work that is bringing poets and their poems to the Land Trust cause. She also discusses the relevance of NatureCulture's Writing the Land initiative to issues of land care, agriculture and, ultimately, hunger.

Interview with Patrick Washington
​of Dialect of Prince George's

Patrick Washington is not only a powerhouse poet in the Greater Washington DC (USA) area, but he also is known far and wide for cultivating young poets. In this 12-minute visit, we discuss how he's used his own poetry to Speak Up about social causes. We also chat about how young poets are Speaking Back to Hunger. Patrick then closes by reading a segment of "Toxic Waste," a hunger-focused poem jointly composed by young poets Jordan Culmer and Imani West.
